Hawaii is a beautiful place. With the lush green jungles on the east side of the islands and the drier, but no less beautiful west side Hawaii boasts many opportunities as a photographer. Maui hosts Haleakala National Park with the Scared Pools and Haleakala Volcano. The north shore is renowned for it’s massive waves. 

I was particularly drawn to the lava flows which meet the ocean all over the islands. The craggy black lava rock against the blue ocean made for some striking images. Hawaii is and always will be a favorite of mine.
